Privacy policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

This policy explains what happens to information about you when you visit gonom.net (“GONOM”, “we”). GONOM has no user accounts, sign-up forms or comments, so we do not ask you for personal information.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, GONOM is served through a hosting and security provider (Cloudflare). When your browser requests a page, the provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This is used to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and produce aggregated traffic statistics that do not identify you.

Advertising and cookies

GONOM shows advertising provided by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to GONOM and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where required by law, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Embedded videos

Videos are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, YouTube (Google) may set cookies and collect data under the Google Privacy Policy. Video thumbnails are loaded from YouTube’s image servers.

Maps and fonts

Route maps use map tiles from OpenStreetMap, and text is displayed with fonts served by Google Fonts. Your browser contacts these services directly to download them, which shares your IP address with them.

Children

GONOM is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, although some embedded videos may not play.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Questions about privacy can be sent to admin@gonom.net.
